Attached is a diagram of my house verandah and carports layout. I want to put a light in my carport and verandah but i have no idea how many or what type.
the carport is enclosed with roller door.
i was fluoro lights, but do i use 2 foot or 4 foot?? single or double?? and where abouts do i put them in the verandah and carport??
the lines in the drawing are the beams for the carport, they are C section.

It depends on what you want to do in each area woz.
Probably a twin 4' for general lighting in the car port and 4 or 6, maybe as few as 2 in the verandah. If you have furniture on the verandah or a pool table, for instance, place the lighting to suit.
Your electrician will be able to advise you before he installs them.

Hi,

I learnt from experience that putting lights directly above tables, and where you are most likely to sit on the verander causes insects to drop into food on the tables and to annoy if directly above, if sitting down.

Hope that makes sense.

put a single 4ft in every bay parallel to the house and put them on a few different switches so you dont have to have them all on at once but can if you want to
