Hi all
I tryed some of Ubeaut's White Shellac the other day on an Auto Trolley that we stripped back.
I couldnt believe me eyes.
I've tryed home made shellac before and got very poor results, but U's stuff has to be seen to be beleived.
And before ya can say it, no I'm not sucking up ........
I won't be useing Polly'U ever again. ( for indoor stuff anyhoo ).
Just thought I'd share this with you all.........:)
Cheers, Allan

Allan,
Likewise.:) Just got some of the hard shellac. Sprayed it (3 coats) onto a Redgum Burl, rubbed it back with 1000 grit then hit it with EEE. Looks and feels magnificent.:D :D The bloke in the paint shop said "You can't spray shellac" so I says "Neil says you can, and he'd know, he makes the goop" The paint shop guy goes, "well, I don't reckon it will work real good." So I sprayed it coz Neil says you can (and he'd know), and it came out tops. SO LISTEN UP YOU LOT. GET NEIL'S GOOP, IT'S ACE.

(DISCLAIMER: I am in no way affiliated with U'BEAUT or otherwise connected in any way. I ask Neil for stuff and he sends it in timely fashion in exchange for my hard earned. I am just one very happy customer expressing his joy at the end result of a very good product) :D

Hi Dan
The problem with most stuff you buy, is that its the "best", until you actualy use it and find that it just aint true.
Its very hard to find good stuff just by reading the packet/tin.
I've tryed oils, waxes, shellac, poly'u, and most of it is just crap.
Ive just received another parcel of U's stuff today, its the sort of stuff that makes you want to run out to the shed and make somthing, just so you have something to slap the goop onto. :D
If I remember, I'll post a piccy of the finished item. :)
Cheers, Allan

Allan,
Normally the one's who go on about how they are the best are not even close to it. I can't recall Neil ever sprouting about his product being the best. He doesn't need to. He lets the product speak for itself and I can hear it yelling from the shed.:D
All the best,
Dan

I've purchased quite a few things direct from Ubeaut via the the website and I'd have say I am very happy with the quick delivery and the way it was packed. Although I'm fairly new to woodworking and finishing in particular, the informative leaflets you get with the products help greatly. Good work Neil.

Hi all
Here is the piccy of the trolley that I just finished off.
It was painted with this awful green paint with brown paint underneath it.
I think it Australian, from about the time of federation.
Its got such beautiful turnings on it.
The timber is very heavy and dark brown, any suggestions on the timber anyone?
I can post a close up piccy if you want.
Cheers, Allan :)

Ahhhhhh. Why didn't I find this before I finished my cradle. I also don't like poly and shellac didn't appeal either. So better luck with the next project whatever it turns out to be.

Could be a profitable little earner for JOW 104 when he returns home.

I seem to recall reading on the web somewhere that's there's now a Brit supplier.
Do Google - advanced, and limit the site search to co.uk
