Deck has blotches after oiling, need advice please

Hi all,

Recently I gave my deck another two coats of Cabots Natural Decking Oil (I have oiled it in the past no problems), this time around something has gone wrong, as you can see from the pictures below.

After the second coat, it rained some days later, it had more than enough time to dry I thought. But this time of year we are already getting heavy dew in the mornings, and I think this may have affected the drying? Anyway, after it rained the deck has all these brown blotches on it now. I have washed the deck today and lightly scrubbed it, but these blotches won't seem to go away.

Does anyone know what I have done? And what I can do it fix it? :(

quickest way is to clean the deck and remove the oil and reapply 1 or 2 coats..

Thanks UteMad, I have sent you a PM asking what should I use to clean the deck, and is the cold weather a worry when oiling a deck this time of year.
