Allan and John, two elderly friends used to meet in
the park every day to feed the pigeons and discuss
world problems.
One day Allan didn't show up. John didn't think much
about it and thought maybe he has a cold or something
but after he hadn't shown up for a week, John got
really worried but as he didn't know where Allan lived
he was unable to find out about him.
A month had passed and John thought he had seen the
last of Allan but one day he approached the park and -
lo and behold - there sat Allan.
John was happy to see him and told him so and asked
where he had been. Allan replied, "I've been in gaol."
"Gaol?" John exclaimed, "What on earth for?"
"Well," Allan said, "you know that pretty little blonde
who works at the coffee shop?"
"Yair, what about her?" asked John.
"She went to the police and complained that I had
raped her, and, at my age, when I fronted court I was
so proud I pleaded 'guilty' and the magistrate gave
me 30 days for perjury."
