I am putting down a slab under the house which has been designed by an engineer. The slab has external beams around the outside and a + style internal beams. The paper work is not to clear and I was wondering how many corner bars I need to put in at the intersections of the internal and external beams.

Each 90 dergree corner of the external has 2 bars, were the internal and external meet in a T pattern do I need 2 sets of 2 going each direction or just 1 set of 2.

And same where the internal beams cross in the middle in the + pattern how many set of 2 corner bars do you normally put in.

Cheers

Where beams cross in the middle (+) no corner bars are required only at a tee junction (T) or corner (L) and then two top and two on the bottom.

This is the most common but if it isn't clear on your drawings a quick phone call to the engineer I am sure will clear it up
