finish for kitchen benchtop

Hi everyone,

I have a kitchen benchtop made of brushbox timber. I believe the finish is some type of sprayed lacquer.
Problem is the breakfast bench section of the benchtop is not high gloss like the rest of the top.
Is there some way I can fix this.
