Hi,
Can anyone tell me where i might be able to find some sort of guide into standard sizes when building a kitchen, eg cupboard widths, drawer sizes, bench heights, overhead cupboard sizes etc. I have been out of the game for quite some time and need to refreshen the memory. Perhaps a website or tafe guide etc of overall standard sizes used in the industry.
Regards,
Mick

With the base cabinets all you got to make sure is the the total height is 875mm. Because most appliances are 870 high. Usually the cabinet is 725 high and the kicker is 150

I generally build to a benchtop height of around 900. 150 kickers, 720 high x 550 deep cabinets, 30mm benchtops. 600 splashback with a 600 high x 300 deep overhead on top of it. Gives total height of 2100. Fridge space 800 wide (could be wider nowadays with bigger fridges). 300 high overhead above fridge space. Dishwasher space 605 wide (unless it's a dishdrawer = 600 wide). Corner cabinets usually 900 x 900 as any narrower makes for a useless space. Try to make all the doors 400 wide or less as this allows you to get three rips out of a sheet of coloured board.
