smooth finish

OK...i started a thread about this table (Stain Match). I have the stain pretty damn close but the zebrawood has a few small pits in it and I don't realy feel like sanding the whole table down 1/32". What can I put on it to smooth everything out (Shalak (not sure how to spell it), epxoy, what??)
