Synteko classic 50 satin on 150mm bushbox

I've been using this product over the past few days after sanding & screening but am having difficulty avoiding lap marks and marks when I dip the the applicator in the solution and put it back on the boards on the final coat?

Supplier suggested we reduce hardener but this hasn't worked.

Solution is well mixed, rested for over 10m until bubbles disappear; applicator mop clean/new - no hard bits etc.

Should I re-screen the bad patches? If I do and re-apply will the new solution disappear into the surrounding finish to give a clean/even surface? :C

If I re-screen the floors is it possible use a different synteko product (non solvent) over the classic 50?

You might need to use their retarder (http://www.spec-net.com.au/links/link0087.htm)to help slow the drying process.

I must admit, I'm at loath to use the word 'retarder' I mean, who came up with that great name for a product that is supposed to help you fix your floor? Got me beat.

Anyway, that is probably the thing your looking for. Let us know if it fixes your problem. Or whether it just "Retards" your progress as the name suggests.

it says to add the hardener at ten percent but dont be afraid of using less hardener to slow it down. keep it out of the sun, breeze and apply it as quick as you can. you might want to use the thirty five as the flater the finish the less you see the lap marks. also use a 4 to 6 ml mohair roller to apply the coating. you can only ever recoat the whole area just screening bad patches and coating them will make it worse. whatever you do dont use any other product, solvent or not over synteko classic other than synteko classic. its a tricky coating and painful to learn, everyone has had this problem.
