I normally use a circular saw, chainsaw is not accurate enough.

I used a chainsaw on all the internal posts, but i wasn't too concerned about having the tops dead square because i housed the bearers into the posts. Just gotta make sure the chain is sharp.

Wouldn't use a chainsaw on kwila posts though. It splinters. Definitely use a circular saw if you want neat.

Good luck.

I used my little Stihl chainsaw to cut all 78 of my red gum stumps. No worries with accuracy due to a light saw and a steady hand.

...and well marked cut lines. We were very fortunate to have the use of a self leveling laser level for the day.....great toy.

Could have used the circular saw but it was stuck in the Triton....
