G/Day guy's

I'am an owner builder and i would like to put a floating timber floor through my kitchen, lounge room and hall way.All my skirting board and arcatrave's are already on.I know i can use a beading along the skirting board but how do you go around the arcatrave's(door jams) so there's no gaps and it looks good.

Cheers

A coping saw and a lot of time??

Hopfully some one has a easier idea for you.

If you want a good job done, take off the skirtings and arch's refit after the floor is installed.

Not easy or simple, but it will look great.

Definitely remove skirting, but for architraves/jambs a flush cut saw used with a spacer block on floor is easier than removing them

Now you're talking! You can even just use a standard crosscut japanese saw.

Thanks for the replies,i thought it would be better if i removed the skirting and cut the architraves/jambs.Originally I was going to do tiles but timber floor looks so much better, as every thing else in the house is wood.:)

Thanks Guy's
