Kinda like a 'luuurve child' ;-}

Had two sons, divorced, lived single for a while.

Then repartnered. She was keen on a kid so after a successful vasectomy reversal young Ruth was born.

Today is her 18th and we went out for lunch with boys, my Mum and my partner.

She's grown up (um, Ruth that is) very nicely.

Great to have a daughter; and one who is energetic, smart and organised.

Proud Dad here, as might be obvious :-

Also of the son who took the photo.

Congrat's to Ruth... 18 years of putting up with a turner for a Dad. Outstanding! :U

(You got her back on the lathe yet, Ern? :innocent:)

Thanks Skew.

Nah, I wish, but she sews like her Ma and takes pics and videos, but she's not keen on getting close to flying wood.

... when I was going in to get the tubes replumbed I had my line prepared: 'blue dye in one side and yellow in the other, so if it comes out green I'll know it's all systems go!'.

Yeah, well, the liquid went into the vein and I got out about three words before the mist descended.
