Urgently need some advice on wiring up a phone socket. House is getting rented today after 1 yr reno but I forgot to fit a socket:oo:.
Have four wires - White, Black,Red,Blue and this wall socket. What goes where? Only need two wires?

I assume you are licensed to perform such a job and that you have had a mental blank.

The Blue wire and the White wire are terminated on the the blue and blue/white terminals. You will need a Krone tool for the job. The wires do not need the insulation removed.

Leave plenty of slack and leave the red and black wires curled up behind the socket.

I hope you are not like some of the cowboys out there who use the back of a stanley knife blade to push the wires into these terminations. Although it might work, it is not the recommended method.

If you are not qualified and licensed to do this job, immediately ignore the above advice because what you are doing is illegal and can result in you copping a fine.
