Hi Neil,
I have been reading your book and think it's great. I am very keen to experiment with making dyes and "playing" with different colours. In your book you spoke about using a home made tea dye for giving timber that golden aged look, one question I have is doesn't it also make the timber smell like a tea bag?. And secondly, can you use this tea dye as a base and add black to make it darker?.
Thanks again for your advise and thanks for writing such a good book and passing on really useful information to weekenders like me.
