Need a 6-7ft or there about step ladder to paint some areas (scaffold too big) and was wondering if anyone knew of a place in Sydney (I'm in Bankstown) that offers bargains on ladders? Prefer 150Kg rating. I'm not too fussed about whether it's wood or aluminium though I'd prefer to stay away from fibreglass. Never had a good experience with it.

I've had a look at Bunnings and the gorilla aluminium one rated @ 150Kg seems like it will fit the bill but the budget is really tight (doing a heap of renovating) and every dollar counts so if anyone knows of a place that has better deals than bunnings on ladders in Sydney please let me know.

I had a look at ebay and nothing is up there that I could see that would fill me with confidence spending close to the same amount of money after delivery. Being sight unseen so can't determine the quality of the ladder the small saving can't justify the purchase if I blow that much money on a dud shonky shacky ladder. I'm cheap but then I'm not stupid to be unsafe and I am a big lad.

Any help appreciated!

The Hills Clearance Centre always has heaps of "seconds" ladders at good prices, don't where it is in Sydney or indeed in relation to Bankstown.

Sounds interesting. Riverwood isn't that far away from bankstown. Might take a trip down there and have a look around. First I heard of it.

Thanks!

Will do. Never occurred to even look there. Was about 40m away from the store today too..
