Hi all,
I'm currently renovating my bathroom and i've removed everything from the room leaving me with a concrete floor. I'm fitting a shower base and making a few changes to the plumbing , i'm also tiling the room from floor to ceiling. I've got durasheet boards for tiling in wet areas but the bathroom has still got the existing pasterbaord , i had originally planned to cover 2 walls in concrete sheeting (wet areas) over the original plasterboard however all the diagrams i see for fitting shower bases show the concrete sheeting against the studwork. My question is...do i strip off the existing plasterboard back to studwork and then fit my durasheet straight onto the studs...OR...do i cover the plasterboard i have with my concrete sheets. The other 2 walls (square room) are not wet areas and i intend tiling over the existing plasterboard.
Any advice is appreciated...
