I'm after a hard wearing stain and finish for new tas oak floors. I want a black finish but after a recent disaster (http://www.woodworkforums.com/showthread.php?t=63629) with Feast Watson Black Japan (finished with Shellac, then Tung Based sealant), where the finish just cracks and peels off, I'm after a different product.
Any ideas??

G'day.
Would this sort of thing (http://clintfudgefloorsanding.googlepages.com/testingtwo) interest you at all? In black, of course.
Here (http://www.baysidebydesign.com.au/index.php?option=com_zoom&Itemid=99999999&page=view&catid=6&PageNo=1&key=0&hit=1) is another example, which I did in April this year. Just click through the pictures to see the stained floor (which is an Eggplant colour, by the way)
Staining floors is tricky and most botched floors I get to check out have been stain gone pear shaped.
