View Full Version : MDF cut to size in Adelaide

Gidday, my brother in Adelaide is in the process of designing some doors for his kitchen and needs some MDF cut to size.
Up here in FNQ we have several mobs who specalize (sp?) in cutting sheet material to size. This is normally cheaper than getting a cabinet shop to cut it.
Is there any such place in Adelaide that does this or will he have to go to a cabinetmaking shop?
Oh and BTW he'll need it all cut accurately so Bunnings is out of the question:rolleyes::)
Thanks and regards
Simon

I think most Bunnings stores will cut it for you too.

The Bunnings in Belconnen ACT will not cut MDF as "they do not have appropriate OH&S arrangements". I wanted to rip some special order 3 metre sheets so I could fit them in a trailer. They did not tell me they would not cut it until it arrived! Anyway pi'd off but managed anyway without paying their delivery charge.

I don't know whether this is a nation wide policy but all the Bunnings I have been to have similar cutting facilities. Magnet mart will cut it.

Scooter perhaps your brother could do a phone around of his local timber suppliers in the yellow pages to save travelling across town.
