Sir Stinkalot

After 12+ more months of procrastination Sir Stinkalot managed to make it down to his first meeting of the local woodworking guild last night. I arrived unannounced but was cheerfully greeted by all in attendance and was made to feel most welcome. It was the first meeting of the month so it was business night, however I did get a tour of the machinery and enjoyed the session of show and tell. It confirms to me that woodies in general are extremely welcoming and generously share their knowledge to the less knowledgeable (just like some members on these boards). I look forward to the meeting in a fortnights time as it will be a workshop night, I have been invited back so I must have done something right (even though I neglected to turn off the mobile , the smell must have not been too bad) and it has been suggested that I can work on a project under the guidance of many wiser than myself.
My question is ….. what sort of project should I undertake? I would assume that there is only a couple of hours available on the night …. I have most of the machinery at home so there really isn’t anything special I need to do …. any suggestions? :)
