Hi:)
i am new to this forum,i want to know if any one used SVENIC pointing and grouting gun tool . it is like a manual chaulking gun, It is stated as specialist tool for applying pointing
mortars.I bought a special WESTOX quickpoint lime and cement based mortars not able to work nothing come out of nozzle at all
1) should i use plasticizers? if so where can i buy it?
2) is there special mortars for Svenic manual gun
Any info regading this is appreciated

I think you have wasted your money, I have seen vids of these "machines" and all they do is bog up the joint, they dont point by a long shot, the pointing comes after you have bogged up the joint, if you can scrape the excess bog out of the joint that is.

That is true i waste my money, time and material by using svenic chaulking gun where it is hard to work with, you got a good web page

I took this picture at a client's house. The repointing was being done by Dwyer's using a caulking gun type setup, and struck with a small tool and pointing trowel. From memory, actual cement powder content was pretty minimal. While the application method seems a little surprising, it also worked well and is thoroughly cured and stuck!

Surprising results indeed, as it looks like it was done by someone who was trained in pointing, and not an amateur. :roll:
