G'day there,
Just wondering if anyone knows roughly how much it will cost to install electrical safety switches on the main box.
Cheers

We had one done at home for a few hundred and one at work including three phase for $3.5K. A lot of variables as said so I would get an electrician around for that quote and expect a figure of under $1,000, if everything else is up to par.

There are 4 types of RCD's available in Australia. Please see the attached pic.
My choice would be (b) because it will protect against half wave faults as could be the case with hair dryers in bathrooms.

Along with everything else we had to get done to have a safety switch installed, as there are regulations to be followed when new stuff is added, we had added $2500 to our house .
