Hope someone can help before its too late!
I have started grouting my floor tiles in my rumpus room.

I have made sure my grouts lines were clear, my grout was made up to a mix similar to toothpaste (tile shop guys words), I mixed well with my power drill, and all went down ok.

However I have found that the grout is drying patchy. I have attached a photo. Its been 48 hours. I spoke to the Tile shop guy and he recommended re wetting the area to see if the grout needed re hydrating.

Is it a case of letting it fully dry. The grout colour is supposed to be silver grey. I am at a point where i don't want to leave it much longer before i rake it all up and start again. (I have only done half the room so far).

cheers
Nick

It should be fine unless you blended your own colour as grout comes in premixed packs and should be consistant all teh way through. You only added wateer, which has no colour.

If you are worried, as recomended give the patchy area a light wetting, damp cloth etc. and check the colour then.

I'd only use sand cement grout on a floor.

Purpose made coloured grouts are generally not as good when you're walking all over them.
