Help me!!
I just dont get these things
Firstly, they are supplied without instructions!! Great...normally dont read them anyway... but right now I could use them.
Here is my problem - I have pulled the wall down, made a lintel, and plumbed up the frame. This was the easy part
The part that is perplexing is that the frame has pre screwed screws to hang the track from. But how these things are made, you cant get a screw driver into these screws to tighten them and thats just the start of my problems
Is there an instruction sheet for these things that anyone knows about?
or
can some one run me through the process?/
Cheers

PS My other problems include
* What are the wedges for in the parts kit?
* The track extends out of the frame, which I have attached to a a piece of timber that I have extended from the frame - Is this right
* How do I make the door hang correctly - is there any tricks

Maneuver the track over the screws, and slide it towards the cavity to engage.

can some one run me through the process?/ Probably, if you post some pics and explain what you’re having trouble with.
* What are the wedges for in the parts kit? .They’re probably to keep the door centred in the cavity. There should be two of them, which you attach to the frame at the bottom of the cavity opening in the frame assembly. They overlap the bottom of the door, and as you slide them upwards they stop the door from rattling around in the cavity.
* The track extends out of the frame, which I have attached to a a piece of timber that I have extended from the frame - Is this rightYes, but if you post pics it would be clearer to see exactly what you’ve done.
* How do I make the door hang correctly - is there any tricksThere’s lots of tricks to hanging a door. That’s why a chippy gets more peanuts than a monkey pushing a broom.

Here are some photos to help you guys help me
The frame of the door went in very easily.. it is plumb/square and secure. (this was checked with a plumb bob this morning!)

The tin strip that acts as the runner is attached on the inside of the frame - and I am planning (if its the right thing to do) is extend a piece of pine out to attach the rail too
Here is where I will extend it from

You should have a head which will be 2 pieces of timber joined in an L shape. You need to fix this to the cavity unit and the jamb on th eother side, and hang the track of this.

I have done this
It showed me how unsquare the current wall is, and I think this is the problem I am having
I will keep playing with the frame now with the "head" on it

I bought it off Doors Plus - I think it is a Noble door - It costs me $235 including the door!
I have it up now, and the best advice I can offer - Is keep it square - I had all types of issues with the current space being out of kilter... as soon as I made the HEAD as mentioned above it all made sense
Had to use a lot of "Packing" but got there in the end
Good luck with your project

thanks for that....doors plus is where we are going to head as well. They are advertising up to 50% off some doors at the moment, so we might be buying a few and a new servery window if they sell those.
cheers for the advice
