I have attached a picture of a shower base I recently made. This was the second shower base I had made, and I wanted to share a trick I used that made it easier for me. For my first shower base, I only put an aluminium angle around the external edges. However, I found it really hard to get a perfectly level edge around the walls edges, and it was also hard to ensure I was at the exact same level as the external edges. So, this time, I just stuck the aluminium angles all the way around! It made the job SO much easier.

Also, I'd like to thank Mic-D for his great posts on doing shower bases. Thanks to him, I knew that I should make the mix very dry, which made my job 10 times easier than it was when I did my first shower base.

Hi guys

Did you know you do not actually need a shower base. You can have the floor all one level slightly tapered to the waste.

I did this on my last reno. As I had no other floor waste any over flow will head towards the shower.
