Hello, Seeking help, I need to organise the re-flooring of a Balcony for a friend that lives in another State. The floor needs to be water proofed it covers the outside of the house down stairs yet they have put corrigated iron underneath hence the need to waterproof the floor.
I want to know if I would need to use the cement fibre sheeting or if I can use something like red tongue & groove. I have had a couple of quotes but they seem a bit rude. If I was to use the red tongue & groove what can be used to seal the end of the wood thats at the edge before putting the capping over it.
I was told about a sealer that could use on wood or cement sheetings, It's called Quick Pave and the lab technitions where its made said use the first coat by diluting it 200 per letre as to soak in then next coat neat.

ANY HELP OR SUGGESTIONS WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.
Thanks

Yeh, The prob is that the owner doesn't want to tile it, surly you can seal the edges and joints and find a sealant to go over the top even some sort of rubberised coating.?

All possible like the old building roof tops... But if you put chairs and tables out on it and break the coating water will penetrate..
