For those that are interested I have just put up a video on taping in a plasterboard join using paper tape.

Hope some of you find it useful.

The title suggests that you will find out how tape angles. Didn't see any mention of that. Interesting though, I've never seen the angled knife in use before. Always had misgivings about it when I finished commercialy. Is it really any easier to use for the beginner as opposed to floating one side of the angle at a time?

Most definitly, floating one side at a time will not always give you a good finish as you can cut into the other side. The angle tool does take a bit to get used to but its worth it.

You are right the title is a little confusing I have changed it to better reflect the content of that particular clip.

Great video!

Did you ever get around to doing a vid on skim coating?

Not yet but I will when I get a site to do it.

I going out tomorrow to film repairing a cracked join in a plasterboard ceiling.

One by one I will get as many scenarios as possible on video as each opportunity arises. I will be working on a complete plastering DVD after Christmas. But for that one I need to script it first as it will be very complete, not like these little you tube clips.

Good to hear.

Now I have a ute, I have decided to completely pull the plaster off a wall here which I'll need to redo. Reckon you've just about covered all I need to know :2tsup:

Do you do your own editing for that? Need any post-prod for the DVD?
