That explains a lot of things, if true. I can see it going clockwise and can't reverse it for the life of me. Which would mean that I am a very right brained person who was forever stuck in a very left brained job. With a bit of luck I will find my true self in retirement...:D

Try putting your hand over your right eye and wait a few seconds.

No difference, and can not imagine how anybody could see it otherwise, but my wife sees both indifferently. I am getting worried, maybe I have had a stroke without knowing it... BTW, I never had any difficulty seeing it both ways with the static ones, i.e. the cube, the faces/goblet, the young/old woman etc.

When I first go to the page, it is spinning anti-clockwise - a few seconds later it changes. If I put my hand over my right eye it starts spinning anti-clockwise again almost immediately - when I take my hand away, after a few seconds it reverts to clockwise.

She's spinning anticlockwise with my patch on my right eye, anticlockwise with it on the left and anticlockwise without it on.
I also seem to be a right brain lad in a left brained job.
Howdya do that

It's BS. If you watch it for long enough she changes direction.

I can make her turn whichever way I want. Does that mean I'm a control freak?

First glance she's spinning clockwise. An idiot test I did a few years ago suggests I should see her spinning the other way.
Uh Oh. Now I'm really confused!
Which way was that saw blade going again?

Focus on the shadow, and only the shadow.
If you focus on that, and make it look like it turns the 'other' way, then after a few seconds, look up and she should be pirouetting the other way.
Clockwise is standard for me.

This cropped up on another forum a little while back, and there's a link with gifs that helps you see it going both ways. Unfortunately he's exceeded his bandwidth, probably because it's on OCAU, Reddit and Digg as well. Here's the link in case it comes on line again:
http://au.canglan.com/temp/spinning-girl/
I've asked on the other forum if anyone has it cached. Googles' cache doesn't contain the gifs. :(

I only have one working eye. I see her going anti-clockwise and then after awhile she seems to change and go clockwise.
