Could someone please tell me the best way to repair an antique table which was my first project. It took me about 6 Months to finish restoring it.
I gave it to my Daughter and she put a vase on it which leaked water on to the French Polish.
It has a large white stain on it and I do not know how to go about fixing it.

Depending on the depth of the "blush" remaining in the polish, in some cases rubbing with 4/0 steel will take it out, but then you will need to repad the top to take out the fine scratches of the steel wool..
If your a gambling man, spray the blush with "hair" spray. (don't tell the others, unless it works)
