We have a Baltic Pine kitchen floor with a jarrah edge (done beautifully by my hubby!).
We are now looking to lay floorboards in the dining and lounge. The dining room meets the kitchen floor and I have laid some samples next to the Baltic and some of them make the pine look very yellow (yuk!).
I love Jarrah but have been warned against this floor from people who have laid it - mainly because it shows so much dust and dirt. The bro-in-law told me to just lay Tassie Oak or Vic Ash and stain it to whatever colour we want.
We have a split level home with high cathedral ceilings.
Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
