It’s been on the web for a while, but it’s a très cool illusion if you haven’t seen it before. Have a close look before you scroll down, and bear in mind that there’s no photoshop involved:
Ascending and Descending ( http://www.andrewlipson.com/escher/ascending.html)
Relativity (http://www.andrewlipson.com/escher/relativity.html)
This one has a little photoshop involved, but it wouldn't be necessary if he'd cut the LEGO with some precision:
Waterfall (http://www.andrewlipson.com/escher/waterfall.html)

There’s some virtual tours (http://www.mcescher.com/Downloads/downloads.htm) at Escher’s official website (http://www.mcescher.com/).

It would make an interesting project for some craftsman here to build them out of wood.

Ok, I was bored so I've been following web links to more of the same.
How about building yourself an impossible kennel, or just a simple triangle, or a seat:

Again, these are real objects with no photo trickery involved.
