hey all
i'm going to be finishing a box soon, and it has two types of timber - blue gum with silver ash binding.
i was going to finish with danish oil, wet sanding up the grits etc... but it just occurred to me that the slurry from the blue gum might darken the silver ash :?
does anyone have any experience/ideas etc with this? if this is going to be a problem, any ideas on getting round it/alternative ways of finishing?
cheers
