She'll end up last on the how to vote cards and so there is little chance she'll be elected.

Yes but in the meantime she's such a media drawcard that we'll have to grit our teeth through every mangled sentence she utters.

and the difference between her oratory prowess and the other 90% of politicians is...??

I person, I happen to know she has a rather nice turn of phrase. Somewhere on file I have a reference from her, presented by a former employee who was applying for a job with us.

Said employee apparently wasn't in the top ten percent either. Pauline's exact phrasing was:
"Around the shop, she's no Debbie Flintoff-King."

Noice.

So after that I always thought, good on the people that vote for her, as long as there aren't enough of them to get her over the line.

Now I know you're not serious, but I don't think you would need to have the name reported to know who said "I'm sick of these people coming out here and saying that our girls are like the meat market and the bible that is urinated on ... am I supposed to be tolerant?"

John Howard?
Pete Costello?
Joe Hockey?
Julia Gillard?

OK, maybe it could have been Julia Gillard...

I don't like it.

Come on, Wongo, I know she's no picture, but calling her an 'it' is a bit harsh, doncha think?

Debbie Flintoff-King!!

I hate it when I have a good story and I spoil it by mixing my athletes!!! (Edited now!) :p

Silent, I reckon three of the four you noted are in my 10%, it's the other buggers that are no better.

Even the good bits are bad, if I may mangle a quote from Eric O.

Cheers,

Eric, Eric Olthwaite, King of Denley Moor.

I'm reading M Palin's diary at the moment - The Python Years. He has just finished filming of The Testing of Eric Olthwaite and is 3/4 of the way through writing Life Of Brian with the other Pythons.

It was a good story about Pauline though. Let's just say that around the parliament, she's no Alfred Deakin.

Hi C,

Ive read the MP diaries as well, fabby stuff!.

Now Ms Hanson. To quote our leader "everyone has a right to their opinion", that includes all of the muslims, christians, philatolists etc. Means their agendas can be absorbed and they become marginalised, happened both to her and the Greens. She's got buckleys but she will get the aggro right wing fired up. Now for those who fantasise about Ms Chip Shop remember the kind of guy she likes, you know whatsisname who ripped of all her money and sent her to jail. In the NSW parliment for a while, David whatsisname.

Personally, I enjoy the comedy, the mangalisation of the language and the mixed metafours. Her stint in jail and her campaign to free fellow inmates showed what a shy, vunerable, impressionable and silly person she is. I just wish Norman Gunston would interview her,

And there's another one, being outed very soon, watch the gossip rags!! A shameless homewrecker!!:D

I'm just happy she's splitting the vote, taking away the more rabid conservative vote that might have edged back towards Lil' Johnny.

Cheers,

Morning show yesterday, 7 or 9, interviewer cut her off several times and complaints were received by the station, several hundred from what I can gather, interviewers excuse 'I don't care what you all think about how I interviewed he but I have an opinion too'.
Hits journalism right on the head, it's not what we need to hear, it's his opinion of what we should be listening to, surely a journalist should not have or display their own opinion when interviewing anyone on any subject.

Pauline seems to me to be quite a nice person, and I'm sure we can see through her lack of oratory skills to the person beneath. But the poor thing has a habit of drawing the non-thinking politically naive red-necks out of the woodwork.

For me it was disappointing just how many of these people there are. Even my in-laws were right up there with them. And then there was Oldfield. What can we say? As basic as Pauline is, she's pretty honest in her own way. When she and Oldfield were at loggerheads recently over who was telling the truth about their relationship, I knew which one to believe.

I know Pauline.

They had to lock her up to stop her.!
What will they try this time ?
