View Full Version : It's balmy in Romsey today

It's been snowing this morning in Romsey. We're about 500 metres above sea level. The temperature just got above freezing so the precipitation has turned to rain.

There was a light dusting of white over everything.

I had to go out in it to feed the bloody horses.

Winter in Brisbane and the Gold and Sunshine Coasts is pure perfection. Jumper in the morning, then whip it off at 10:00 and put it back on at 4:00 :2tsup: :2tsup: :2tsup: :2tsup:

But stay where you are Mexicans, we're short of water....:-

We'll probably get more snow tonight and tomorrow. It's a very cold mass of air behind the front from last night.

It's already 1 degree just after the sun went down.

No snow here but a couple of heavy hail storms, snow to 500m, we are about 499 below that, give or take a few cm's.
Horses actually retreated to the stable of their own free will.
As for trudging through everything to feed them, bugger that, they'll come over when you rattle the feed buckets:)

There's a poignant photo of the Tolmie pub in todays SunHerald. Shows the deck of the pub in the fires earlier this year and the snow yesterday.
