Yeah, it's a given.

I think she'll make a good artificial reef.
Perhaps they can drag her to one of the new marine parks zones up at Port Stephens.

Why not, she's already made a new beach!

We've already got a rusty old wreck over on Stockton. We don't need another one. They will either get her off, or pull her to bits.
Hey, maybe we could "blow it up" like those yanks did to that whale back in the 70s or 80s, yep, that would be a good idea !!! :U :U :U

Onya Cliff! :2tsup: They turned her seaward tonight and tomorrow may be able to pull her off. Those bulkers are quite expensive, so I hope they get her afloat. If not, more $$$ to S. Korea or Denmark. :)

Hopefully they'd remove the 800 tonnes of oil on board first

Cliff, Photo number one shows some of the other ships anchored off shore.
There has been up to 70 or 60 ships at a time waiting to come in and load coal.
The ships are anchored for many miles (kilometres) along the coast.

Slow progress is being made, so the morning news said.
hopefully it will be all over soon
That is, if the cable does't break....again

Looks like a beached whale with the pod offshore waiting for her to be sent back out.
Hope it doesn't make a mess - the locals love their beach

yeah who knows I thouht it would be a great idea to leave it.it has bought more people back to the city than ever..... turn it slightly for the southerly swell to come in and there will be some nice breaks coming off her for some fun waves fore the boardriders great place for a restaurant/niteclub and later down the track a good fishing spot

Yeap, they turned it around but now it is leaking. :cool:Not necessarily Cliff. She would have pumped ballast for the turn and that oil may be from the pumping.
I reckon that is the case otherwise if her tanks were breached she'd be screaming for a defueller to minimise the cleanup costs.

Looks like she either got free or sank in ten feet of water
Great stuff. The last thing we needed was another ship rusting on the beach.
Edit: Link here - she is free. (http://www.smh.com.au/news/national/pasha-bulker-free-at-last/2007/07/02/1183228999518.html)

Some sources suggest that the oil spilt was simply lubricant (http://abc.net.au/news/stories/2007/07/02/1967797.htm) (hydraulic fluid ?) from the ships damaged prop ?
