I recently had a hot water mixing valve go bad and after replacing it I have not got the same water pressure that I once had. There is barely enough pressure to run the shower. Any thoughts as to why a new valve would change the pressure?? I have tried to adjust the valve to mix with more cold water but the pressure remains the same.

There might be a restricter in it. Apparently these look like a plastic basket and can often be easily removed. Presumably you'd have to disconnect the inlet pipe(s) first. This is based on listening to the plumber on ABC radio a week ago.
Interesting info here http://www.enware.com.au/faq/faq.htm under "Anti Scald"
about how often mixing valves need to be serviced and/or replaced.
