Hi All.

With the kitchen all but finished I have started to look towards the bathroom.
Bathroom has concrete floor and rendered brick walls. The exisiting shower is a really oddball size so I am looking at making a new hob to plonk a shower screen on.
Can anyone run be through how to make a new hob? I am thinking hebel bricks, then render, then waterproofing.
Any help much appreciated
Regards Stu

Hi Stu

Go check out a bathroom supply store in Cannington, sorry cannot remember the name of it. It's in the lane beside Spotlight. (in between spotlight and the good guys.)

They have some really nice cubicle showers at very cheap prices, and they come raised with flexi hose for the waste, so lining up the waste is not a problem. They even have ones with phones / radios / spa jets etc etc etc.

Otherwise post a photo of your shower so I can see what you are working with.

I was really hoping to stay with the tiled shower, I already have access to a reasonably priced screen.
Noone has any advice on a new/ replacement hob??

Do you specifically want a hob? I used angle, waterproofed it and then tiled. The shower was fitted just inside the angle.

Hi Stu

Mine latest reno the hob was recessed, I filled it in tiled the floor with a slope towards the shower waste. So no hob at all.

This is the only picture I have of the shower and I am still waiting on the shower screen.
