I was looking through some old photographs over the weekend, and came across this one. Taken in 1973 on a job I did demolishing an old timber frame building at Darwin Hospital.
Obviously I took the shot because of the humour there, but now I look at it and cringe.
Did we really bash the s**t out of all that fibro? Would be criminal nowadays.
Incidentally the building was built in 1936, and we salvaged all the floor / ceiling joists etc, 24 and 27 ft lengths of just about dead straight Karri. Long gone now of course.
Regards
Bill
PS This is definitely the last of my old fart type reminiscences for a long while.
