Anybody still watching it?

Bloody Qld went in the favourites & have only managed to make one try stick.
They have muffed 3 more & even gave one away in the process.

Talk about giving the underdogs some encouragement.

Yeap. :)

But what crappy football????
The coach kicked their bum at half time so they came out & played flat out for 15 minutes & then coasted.

I have seen better games that were more entertaining than that one for sure.

What's that old saying about good sides can win even when they don't play well. Qld had a great second half, Price, Thurston, Lockyer, Civo, Berrigan, all played blinders for the second half. Shame about the first half, but even then, the Price try being ruled a forward pass was a joke and we could have scored another 2. Now if only we can take the lessons from that into the second game it should be a massacre. Mind you, NSW need to replace a few of theirs - just didn't have the same intensity. I thought Minicello played well for them as a standout, and Bailey had a great first half.

Its great to be a Queenslander!

Let me preface this comment by saying that Queensland Rugby League teamis a bunch of namby pamby nancy girls.

I thought the score was flattering. NSW was allowed a try I don't think was grounded, Qld got nabbed for a forward pass which I don't think was. All this made the 18-6 half time score look like there was a game on. Every time QLd got near NSW line they looked like scoring.

NSw has some bloody serious work to do if they don't look like a bunch of nambyh pamby nancy girls.

Chalk it up to inexperience.

That Alfie Langer try was a joke.

That first kick by thurston for inglis to score was brilliant. But I did think steve price should've been man of the match.

G'day Benny,

Ya uneducated git. :D

There's more to life in Antartica than Eddie, Sam and AFL - sheesh.

AFL - "Please don't hit me?". "I wouldn't dream of it chap".

NRL - "Come here ya barsteward, I wanna hit ya!". "OK, ave a go ya mug"

Afl players are masters of the jumper punch, they only get fined that way.

The thugby was ok I guess, did watch a bit of it. The country is big enough for a few codes, just not soccer.......

I've gone off league for some reason. I used to love it, but now I can barely watch a game, and would generally just as soon watch a good game of AFL. This may mean that I'm officially deceased. :(

But AFL followers still annoy me for being close minded to other codes. I mean, they are all just stupid games when all is said and done.

Unlike cricket - which was formulated by God, or some other deity of significance, or maybe even by natual selection - to be the best sport in the world.

Haven't seen Australia compete in the World Cup AFL or Rugby League....

We made the mistake of letting VFL footy out of the state, let alone the world.

Nothing against soccer just find it boring all that kick to kick with no scoring sort of like a St Kilda/ Hawthorn game?

The first half was a bit dull after the first try, but Brent Tate scoring twice for NSW in the first half put a dampener on things. When are they gonna put in someone who can ;ine up and defend in his position:?
