Just a quick one. Can you use rapid set concrete for footings for a freestnding carport using post stirrups? Cheers

No, not for structural purposes, use proper concrete.

Best to use mpa 20+, you could use rapid just to set the posts and then fill hole with the good stuff

The only difference as far as Im aware with normal cement and the rapid cement used in rapid set concrete is that normal cement has gypsum added to retard setting.

So I cant see the problem? :?

You'd have a better idea than me, Al, but I'm of the understanding that rapidset isn't acceptable for structural purposes like setting pergola posts, but the standard setting stuff is.

I don't know about the composition, but rapidset is for non-structural purposes only, such as fence posts.
