Is it just me or do other members have trouble finding the boards that they are looking for. As there have a been a few more added, (which is good) I now find that they are all over the place.
As an example the board TOOLS AND MACHINERY could be followed by all the other "tools" i.e. Triton, Festool, Router etc.
maybe woodworking styles could be grouped nearer each other, i.e woodcarving, woodturning, box making, musical instruments etc, perhaps even following on after GENERAL

I agree with you Brian.
I'm only interested in the woodwork side

Heres how I use the forum. Very rarely do I go into individual forums.
Just hit the "New Posts" (or 'Todays posts') button and scan through to see what takes your fancy, and you can also see which particular forum it is in.
Its either that method, or I just do an Advanced search.
:bowblue:thank you, :bowblue:thank you, I'll be here all week.:D

I navigate similar to martrix, except when my compu-duh-r or ISP goes off the rails. Then, I'm back to browsing the individual forums. In that case, a reorganization would help. I disagree, however, with using a tree structure (sub-sub-forums; suggested in another recent thread) because the branches wouldn't be apparent from the home page.

Im the same as Martrix, plus i have "New Posts" saved as a favourite so when i log on it loads straight away and i dont have to put up with the main page crap. It says "sorry no match" who cares cause its fast :) then i just refresh it.

I very rarely go to the front page. Like Lignum, I just have the "New Posts" page saved as a favourite and that is the page I go to most of the time. Although I am interested primarily in woodworking with hand tools, I do find topics in other forums from time to time that interest me. When you go to the New Posts page, it doesn't take long to scan all of the posts to find the ones that interest you.
If there are certain specific forums that you are interested in, just save them as favourites and then you don't need to go near the front page.
