bees wax

Hi guys i have just made a simple timber frame to house a couple of those foam lounges and my theory was to give it a coat or two of bees wax.
So i went off to bunnings bought my bees wax and my pure gum turpentine mixed in 300 mls to 200 grms of wax but when i applied it it just stuck i could not get it to flow.
Then after joining here i found out that it is a really bad raw timber finish so i know have some carnauba polish and hope that this will give me a nice finish to the pine.
My first question is how do i get all the bees wax off and out of the wood and then what is the best way to apply the carnauba polish and can i put the bees wax on over the top.

To aid flow you need to add more gum turps and adding either boiled linseed oil, or PURE tung oil. Sun bleached linseed or tung oil is even better.

Generally use 1 part wax to 1 part oil to 5 parts gum turps, let stand for two days and stir well to dissolve.

Bees wax is very soft and cannot be buffed to a high sheen. You can blend the carnauba wax (which is not the same as the polish which is dissolved in a solvent, just use less gum turps if you use the polish) with bees wax.

To clean up just use lots of turps and lots of cloths to dissolved and wipe up, you could use like a plastic scrapper if it thick on the timber.

Always test your blends on scrap wood.

To aid drying time you can use dammer resin or similar to speed the dry and to give a harder finish.

If you want to remove all traces of the wax use "Prepsol" or similar, available from automotive spray paint suppliers.
