So heres the senerio.

I am polishing my sisters floorboards while she is holidaying in WA. I have sanded, sealed with a single pack poly-u and have just put down the second top coat of poly-u.

Dosn't matter what precautions I use I still end up with fine dust or crap in the finish......Not much, but enough to be fussy about. What I want to know is there something I can go over the floor with rather than recoat it and risk it happening again? Eg, light sand and wax?

I have no idea what i'm doing but it is fun. Well I shouldn't say I don't what i'm doing cause I do, but I am just unfamilar with the different materials used. So I seek an experts view.

Cheers
Shane...

Hi Shane

I know this answer is a bit late but have just returned from 3 weeks on the road.

EEE Ultra Shine. Our Cut'n'Polish wax sould do the job well. Get a 250ml tub and try it using a floor polisher with the buffs on. If this works we can supply a 5 litre tin for the rest.

Thanks Neil,

I have finished the floor and got it quite good without having to go over it with anything. My client ( my sister http://ubb.ubeaut.com.au/ubb/smile.gif ) is very happy with the end product.

Oh, I didn't mention in my original post that the gloss level was satin, so that might make things hard if I do go over it with a cutting compound..

But will keep your advise in mind for the future!

Cheers

Shane!!

P.S. Hope things went well for you on the road Neil! Sold heaps I bet.
