Hi all,

We recently reno'd our bathrooms and kitchen - completely new and have purchased the tapware from a wholesale distributor in QLD ex China. Fantastic pricing 40% below shops.

Pictured at the link below is the flickmixer we purchased for <$75

Performance wise it's great and a solidly built unit however it's noisy as hell when you run the water at any rate, hot worse than cold and is waking the baby - so a call to action from OWMBO to find out why. Any clues and can it be rectified??

Thanks - Damon

Does the noise stop if you turn it on flat out?

Hi Dan,

Tried your suggestion and on full throttle was much better - almost as I would expect it to be at a trickle or quarter flow. Is this the valve then and Can I change it for a quieter version?

Thanks

Damon

Not sure. I have some 1/4 turn taps on my garden outlets that make a hell of a racket when they're turned on at low flow, the original standard taps didn't seem to make any noise at all. It might be worth either trying a different brand or enquiring at your local plumbing supply place.
