A word of warning with on line albums. Don't go uploading any personal pics that you don't want people seeing. Anyone can access your album quite easily. dont want to be picky but your plumbing connections ae illegal ,compression connectors cannot be placed within a wall cavity ,also the taps for the dishwasher should be within the sink cabinet ,

Yeah - we know about that one... the oven cab was built about 2 months ago. Then the rest of the gear arrived and the insrtuctions said the feet should be set back 60mm... we'll get to it during the week.
We're pleased with what we got done in just 2 days. . .

Not bad jedo- the connections are illegal but as long as your prepared to cut out the wall behind should they leak ( not hard to do) should be ok.
I also didn't see a cook top in the bench- if you put one in, clad the wall behind with something fire resistant like ceramic tiles or painted villa board, here in S.A. its a legal requirement to stop fires starting inside the walls.

If you can dont finish the wall where the dishwasher goes, I just looked again and I really dont trust those flexi-connectors, change it to soft copper or hide them with the dishwasher in front??
Is that a custom kitchen or just a flat pack modular?

Yeah - other side of the wall actually has a removable panel. Only gyprock in any case. So not bad to get to in to fix MY plumbing.
We put the cook top in this arvo after work
Walls all gonna be glazed tiles
Dishwasher won't be "fixed" - so flexi connectors can be got at
Yeah it's a flatpax - from China via Bunnies
Not bad stuff to work with - at least all the pre-drilled holes were in the right places - and as you see it all went together.I was blerdy impressed how much we got done in two days

And the daughter didn't want holes dug inthe sink unit for the dishwasher taps... Oh well...:roll:

the main reason that the taps should be inside the sink cabinet is that if anything goes wrong with the plumbing connections the taps have to be accessible to be able to be turned off ,also the dishwasher will not go hard against the wall if the taps are behind it ,unless you are intending to not sheet the wall behind but that will only create a breeding ground for all sorts of insects/vermin, to me peace of mind would far out way the look of taps inside a cabinet

Hi again jedo,
If your using Glazed tiles, im assuming they are the glass based ones that are oh so popular right nox. If you are using glass and not ceramic then Im reasonably sure they arn't fire rated/ resistant and therefore won't protect your wall. Caramic tiles, villa board, also stainless steel will do the job, just ask the guy that sold em to ya if they can do what you want. If they cant then, although a pain in the proverbial, line the wall with villa board before you tile, just where the tiles go.

Either way check it out. From memory if your cooktop is far enough away from the back and side walls you dont need to put anything in but I cant really tell you this measurement with any confidence, If you ring your local gas regulator they might tell you??

I think I meant ceramic - yu know - the kind from beaumonts.
Daughter has her eye on a mix of black ones and pearl ones.. kinda goes with the "black granite" benchtops
well I thought all tiles were "glazed" - :doh:

The other side of the wall has an access panel
(some other bright spark built that before the daughter moved in)
so she can access the dishwasher taps that way
BTW - you're dead right about all the crap in those cavity walls - they're a breeding ground for mice and cockroaches and huge spiders - one there tonight had a long body with a white stripe on its back. . . :o yeukk...
