Does any one know of a quick test to find out if mineral turpentine has a contaminant in it or or has been diluted in any way.
I know that you can detect water in Metho by adding a few drops of turps to a little in a bottle and shaking. But I don't know of a test for turps.
I lost a brew of Shellawax Cream and Polish Reviver tonight worth over $6,000 due to what appears to be the fault of the turps and I can't get to the suppliers till Monday. A test for purity would be nice to know about. Maybe this way we can avoid the same problem in the future.
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers
