Bought a 1.5HP split cooler - still in its box.
Anyone know if it's possible to mount one of these on/in a caravan?
Compressor welded to extensions on the chassis?
Anybody ever done it - or knows?
Thanks
Otherwise... 1.5 HP split cooler for sale...
Cheers

We have installed a couple in caravans that were no longer going to be moved, with no problems. I dont see why you couldnt attach it has you mentioned, just make sure its very well secured, and you may want to find out if there are any requirements from your road authority in regards to how loads should be attached.
One of the only problems i see is on long trips vibration may cause some weakening of flare joints and create leaks, but if its installed correctly and well secured it may not be an issue.

Jedo hi,have mine fitted a couple years now,no probs yet.Unit bolted to A frame no rubber anywhere.Plumbed through van and sealed with spray foam stuff.Have traveled about20000 ks so far and of again end March. You lose any warranty,i was advised by salesman so purchased a cheap import (in comparison).Maybe lucky up till now, fitted into solid old 1978 Millard 14 ft poptop.Good luck,Graham
