Im about to lay 45m2 of recycled T & G Jarrah 20 X 85mm floor boards on treated pine floor joists (its an outdoor undercover area). Does anybody have any idea if i will split my Boards using a Paslode fixing/framing gun with 45mm T nails. The boards are in good condition. A fixing gun would save me alot of time! but its gotta look good.

Put it this way: there's no garauntee that it wont. I used a coil nailer on my Merbau decking, which is similar to Jarrah, and it split some of the boards.

Maybe will split at the butt joints. Shouldn't use t-nails, they rust quickly. Use a coil nailer and handnail the butt joints, or just handnail all. It's only 45sqm afterall.

Cheers
