I am trying to make a new post but I just get this message:
Invalid Thread specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator (http://www.ubeaut.com.au/contact.htm)
Anyone able to help me with this?
Kind regards

Hi all,
I am also having trouble trying to start a new message, been playing around for a couple of hours and getting nowhere!
Have made several comments at different times, but can't seem to get the message right for start of new one.
Would appreciate some help please.

Regards,

Ron.

G'day Ron - You have 23 posts so there obviously isn't a problem with submitting posts to a thread.

What is the problem you are having starting a new thread? You have clicked on the new thread button in the forum you wish to post haven't you? The only difference between starting a thread and posting into one is, that with a new thread you have to insert a name for the thread before you hit the submit button.

Hope this helps.

Sorry John - I really don't mean to sound sarcastic but for someone who can't start a new thread you did alright with this one and the others posted before this one.

If you are using Internet Explorer try the trick below :aro-d: (the blue bits are the commands to click on or the section the commands are in whilst the > mean go to the next command or section).

This will stop your browser from showing an old cached view of the pages and make it use up to date real time view.

Go to the tool bar at the top of any screen and click on: Tools > Internet Options > General > Temporary Internet Files > Settings > then under Check for newer versions of stored pages: highlight either Every visit to the page or Automatically > OK > OK .... All DONE.

Hope this was of some help.

Cheers - Neil :)

Under our new, tough, high security, registration system the first few posts don't show in a count until the new member is out of a probation period of a set number of posts. They also do not show up in the members list until they are out of their probation period of a set number of posts.

For that matter no member with zero posts shows up in the Members List any more.

With our new tougher registration system we have managed to take our count of around 20-30 spammers per day down to 1 in the last 3 weeks and the loophole that let him in has been closed very tightly behind him.

Now we have a heap of moderators with no spammers to chase and nothing to do, so look out all you trouble-makers, the mods are watching and ready for action.

You may also be trying to post to a thread that is locked, or has been moved (or got moved just while you were viewing it).

As Neil said - you had no problem with this one, so the system seems functional.

All this new probation stuff explains why I've been subject to such close and personal scrutiny then.

Maybe now Benny's back it will take the heat off.:q

Hello ,
new member here.
I am trying t add on to a current thread and it does not seem to be adding my post.

Is there a time delay or apprval by mod needed for new members? Or am I just doing something wrong.

This is the post I am trying to add to.

Unfortunately due to spammers all new members have to have their first few post validated by the Admin team. :(

I am having similar problems also. I am trying to post a new thread but it wont let me and comes up with "Invalid Thread specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator (http://www.ubeaut.com.au/contact.htm)" I am thinking it is so you can check for spammers so I won't be able to post for a bit yet is that right? I was just trying to post up a pic of some work I have done in the woodwork gallery thanks
