Hi all
I've got a dicky bit of area between a bungalow and a fence. Will put up one sheet of corrugated roofing to cover the area. Would like to run water off to a garden and looking at ideas for a cheap guttering alternative.
I have some PVC pipe lying around and thought I could cut a channell into it so it slips on over the corrugation and place a cap on either end to hold it in place. Then put a hole and a smaller PVC to run off water to where I want it. So Water runs down roof and into pipe which acts like a gutter.
Any other inventive ideas out there?
Cheers

G'day Mcblurter,
With the price of galv spouting through the roof, I reckon you've struck the cheapest/easiest way to go.
I did 12 metres of shed roof with PVC, and it was a breeze to do.
What I learnt:
Seal ends and any joins before cutting the slot.
Use PVC fittings for the down pipe connection
Then cut the slot
I used two methods:
A jig that run along the long sections of pipe through which a jig saw fitted (WOFTAM)
Run the long lengths of pipe through the table saw (Easy)
As you're only using 1 length of tin...It'll be a piece of cake.

Noel

Howdy, McBlurter.

First, I suggest an elbow at one end, with same size pipe for the downdrain, to assure adequate water flow.

Second, depending on nearby/overhead foliage, it may be advisable to cut some half-round openings in the pipe above the roof, to enable flushing leaves, pine needles, etc.
