OK

it's nearly that time of the year again, so what have we decided the next New Years Resolution will be??????????

Me, I'm going to try to swim 2000 meters non-stop!! 80 laps of the pool. TRUE:D :p :D

YEAH RIGHT:eek:   ( I do like swimming by the way, it fixes the sore back??)

Been saying it for years......I get started and swim every day, do 10-15-20 laps of the pool, for a couple of weeks then the BRAIN thinks i'm going alright?  I start to have a few days off here and there??

Before long, I can't swim that distance anymore:(  I think...if only I kept swimming I'd be able to swim???? (such and such a distance??)....I lose interest, ( well crack the $hits really) and BIN the whole exersize??

So for the umteenth time, Im starting again

Whats yours??

Loose weight, get fitter, spend more time in the shed, make tables & chairs for the Grandkids x 2 , swap storage shed to workshop and vica visa, spend more quality time with SHMBO, build a new faster computer, re-organise my timber stash ( found a heap I had forgotten about last week), drink not more but better red's & live each day ( lost another mate my age this year God I hate Cancer )

Rgds all And Have a good festive season , Drive carefully or get someone sober to drive.

As far a next year goes,

If I can complete as many interesting tools/projects as I did this year
Improve my knowledge base and skills as much as I did this year
Only make as many mistakes as this year
Get slightly more time in the shed as this year
Don't injure myself
And
can keep having the odd drink or 3

That will do me.

I would like to get through the year without being a crash test dummy for an elderly woman driver.

Not buy pine for ANYTHING (but it aint practical)

Make more of an effort to get along with my father to whom I haven't spoken since he called my wife bad things. But he must apologise first!

Finish painting the house interior

Pete

Oops one more, Spend as much time as I can at my sons school mentoring needy students, reading with the younger kids and helping out as much as posible.

Spend more on timber than single malt, fix some fences so we can get some hay (last year $4 this year $13:mad: ), attend funeral of ex wife (please), finish off the bloody bathroom.

Solve World Poverty
Find a cure for all diseases, genetic and otherwise
Personally develop, grow in culture and implant a brain for Georgedubbya ( probably use nucular devices too:cool: )
Deliver all mail on time, to the right address
Singlehandedly wrestle the El NiNo and El Nina weather patterns into submission in the tag team match (almost) of the millenium.:)
Then, on Tuesday, I'll finish my chest of drawers. Not sure about the rest of the year:confused:

Merry Christmas all and I hope the New Year brings health, wealth, happiness and most of all peace to you and those you care for.

Swim 2000m not a problem, do what I do, just think about it because IT'S THE THOUGHT THAT COUNTS ;):D:D:D

So underused, what do you do in those dojos in Japan ?

whittle my 2DoQ to smaller than the Encyclopedia Galactica re-organise the shed. (NB: this does not equate to cleaning!) keep all bodily parts attached & intact convince a certain someone else to look after the PR side of things. (Sadly, not necessarily compatible with #3. [sigh]) stop making unrealistic NY resolutions. (OK. So that one's scratched already...:o)

I never do New Year resolutions but maybe putting the BAS in on time would be a good start.
